Standard body weight scales provide a measure of total weight, but don't determine the lean-to-fat ratio of that weight. Standing on most scales can tell you only if you weigh more than the average person, but not if that weight is fat or muscle. Based only on scale weight, a 250 pound athlete with 8% body fat may be considered "overweight" by a typical weight chart. Such charts are not a good indications of ideal body weight...

KERRY DUBLIN MATCH

Well boys Kerry were seriously lucky to have scraped a win against Monaghan, by the end of it my heart really went out to Monaghan.

Have you seen which teams Seamus Moynihan is predicting will reach the finals on the plumgaming.com site. I think that he has picked the Kerry Dublin match just right, but has got the Cork Meath match wrong. This time I am going to beat him, and claim my prize.

Jimmy Murray has died

It has been announced that Jimmy Murray, Roscommon All-Ireland winning Captain of 1943 and 1944, has died. Many is the pint I had in his pub in Knockcroghery, Co. Roscommon. He was the only man ever to captain a Roscommon senior team to All-Ireland glory. He also held the record for leading a team out as captain in All-Ireland finals. He did so on 5 occasions. 1943, 1943 replay, 1944, 1946 and 1946 replay. May he rest in peace.
